During a golf swing, the core remains stable and is what connects all the moving body parts around it. The spine is the heart of the torso and is the conduit which allows forces to be transferred effectively from the legs to the upper body during the golf swing. Strong core postural muscles withstand those forces without breakdown, allowing the golfer to maintain the spine angle throughout the entire swing.
