Want to find out how to move into your backswing with tour player technique?
The reverse pivot is one of the most frustrating (and common) swing flaws experienced by golfers worldwide. On the reverse pivot backswing, the weight goes towards the target as the club swings away from the target. The reverse happens on the downswing, where the weight goes toward the back leg as the club swings down toward the target. An additional sign of a reverse pivot is that the spine angle points slightly towards the target on the backswing. In a reverse pivot, the lower body is essentially a dead zone in relation to the swing instead of supporting the swing in a stable, powerful form.
The reverse pivot swing is almost exactly the opposite of the way we want the golf swing to work. The Reverse Pivot Golf Fitness Program works to build good body motion, spine angle posture, optimal hip and shoulder mobility, and hip and shoulder separation. Use these exercises and stretches to get the motion you need for a great looking (and feeling) golf swing. This golf fitness program will free up those hips for a full rotation back and through.
The exercises and stretches in this program are performed in supersets. Begin by performing the number of repetitions for each exercise, then immediately move to the next exercise in the superset. After you perform one set of each exercise in the superset, rest 30 seconds, then repeat again. Once the superset is complete, move to the next superset. Perform this routine up to 4 times weekly, always with 1 day of rest in between workouts, for best results.
